Hi, Sue D here with a quick project tutorial on cute table
decorations. These quick and easy decorative cones will add to any
dinner party setting and I am sure will be the talk of all your guest.
Easily made with just a few items I am sure we all have in our stash, if
not head on over to Wild About Scrap store and stock up on all the fabulous products recently added.
You will need:
Cut
your paper into 6in square, I used G45 Christmas Rose - this way if you
are having a dinner party and want to coordinate you can get 4 settings
per 12 x 12. Roll into a cone and use your hot glue gun. Although you
wont be putting a lot in these you will need a firm glue as the cone is
quite tightly rolled. Insert a decortive doily on the inside and secure
with glue..
- Cardstock or patterned paper
- Doilies
- Twine or Ribbon
- Hot Glue gun
- Embellishments
Wrap
some twine or ribbon around approx 3 or 4 times and tie off in a bow.
Make a tinsel bow and glue on. Place a decortive button or small flower
in centre of bow, lastly adding an occassional word. Use for cutlery on
your table with a pre dinner treat!
Hope
you enjoyed this project and I have inspired you to adorn your next
dinner party with some handmade pretties. Remember to pop back soon and
see some more projects.
Sue D xx
