Hello, Forget Me Not is the name of the Paper I have used on these cards - isn't it funny - I had no idea what a paper called Forget Me Not would look like - but here it is ..... Green Hearts....
This Paper is from the clearance section at Wild About Scrap - check there regularly to see what goodies Veronica has added to this section! This particular one is from the Fancy Pants - Be You range, with green hearts on one side and the bright pink colour on the other.
This card shows both sides, with a wooden, patterned button adhered with some twine across the bottom. I used black rhinestones and a happy birthday banner to complete the card.
The gorgeous butterfly card is a punch technique I have not tried before - you may have to enlarge the photo and have a closer look... The butterfly at the top is mounted on the top of the green hearts layer, but the butterfly at the bottom is punched out and the butterfly is then turned over and adhered into position - so you see both sides of the double sided paper - clever hey!?! I added rhinestones on each butterfly and in the corners of the top layer. Adding a small tear in the paper is another way to show both sides of your paper.
This card was created by just simply using leftover strips of paper - showcasing both sides of the patterned paper and I also tucked a small square under opposing corners for a bit more colour against the black card base. Distressed edges, a twine bow and many rhinestones add more detail to this card.
On all three cards I have used the same wording stamp and black embossing powder - a quick way to build up your card collection and also shows - you don't have to own every stamp under sun (what am I saying??!??) you can just have one or two (or three or fifty... shhh..) and create many different looks with the same stamp. I mentioned at the top of this post that this paper was from the clearance section - I have only used one sheet - so if you are creating on a budget - this shows you can use minimal products and still create fantastic cards!
