Sisters photo frame
Where did July go huh?? Anyway let's kick start August with some creations and make it a month to get scrapping !!! I received my very gorgeous DT kit from Veronica last Friday and spent about 10 minutes oohing and aahing at the contents... right up my alley !!!

My first creation is a OTP photo display frame. It was painted in cream/off white paint and then distressed- with sandpaper.
I traced each section onto the backing board and mounted the photos to 3 of the sections.
I added some rub on quotes to the 3 non photo sections.
The top frame piece was then adhered - using double sided tape , to the backing board, over the top of the photos and patterned paper sections.
Next the embellishments were added.
I inked the Dusty Attic Birds on a Branch #2 chipboard piece in aqua  and cut it , adhering the 2 sections to the top and bottom of the frame.
Some Prima Firefly Paper Mulberry Flowers were added along with some smaller Kaiser blooms.
A few pearls were scattered amongst the branches.
Other embellishments added - Prima Wood Buttons- Songbird, Petaloo Glass Pins- Peach, Graphic 45 Staples- Metal Buttons, some lace, ribbon and some more pearls
Hope you like the result !!!

  1. Your creation is just beautiful. I love every part. I must get some aqua ink . You have inspired me with your frame, I've 5 sisters I love doing layouts of them. this could be another way. x

    1. Glad you like it and it has inspired you Elaine - the ink was just a small versacube aqua ink so nothing fancy - or expensive :)

    2. Thanks for that Sharon , I will have to get it as it looks a great colour especialy on the chip board, did you have to anything to the board before you inked it? x

  2. No nothing before i inked. I just smeared the ink roughly across the chipboard so it is not completely covered there are lighter spots and some where the chipboard colour shows throuch - not sure if that shows up in the close ups :)

  3. Actually the ink pad is Turquoise Elaine - just checked :) Nearly the same as Aqua

    1. Thanks for that info I'll have to have another search for the Turquoise I did see it but was looking for Aqua didn't think about it.I may even have it & not know. x

  4. Very lovely Sharon!! I'm really liking the dusty chipboard you've used. A gorgeous OTP for 3 gorgeous sisters. ♥
