Playing with all the goodies Veronica sends in the kits is easy, updating the blog is the hard part! Completed projects sit until I find time to take photos, then the write up... ah well thats another hard bit!

In my last DT kit from Wild About Scrap I was very fortunate to recieve TH Sizzix alterations die Layered Angel Wings amoungst my goodies. I am so in love with this die I had to make a quick tag.

CUP CAKES

Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas Day, enjoying it with family, friends and loved ones. Meant to post these before Christmas .. but in those last few mad days I clean forgot... so here I am .  From the amazing November/December DT kit Veronica sent to me, I have used Christmas themed papers by Carta Bella - Traditions - Italian Lace to make these cup cakes - they could have strings attached and be hung on the tree!!  I personally love them just as an OTP item to decorate my home !!
Other ideas for their use
- decorations for a garden tea party - on a cupcake stand
- name card holders for parties - birthday, xmas etc etc
- gifts for party guests , wedding guests, afternoon tea guests
The possibilities are endless really.

Nutcracker Wall Hanging

Love it when the postie drops off another parcel and its from Veronica at Wild About Scrap, just know its going to be filled with yummy goodies from the store! Veronica never disappoints, this months DT kit is jam packed with lots of beautiful products but one just jumped out.  Graphic45 Nutcracker Sweet Collection,  what a beautiful range of paper. So getting into the Christmas festive theme I decided to make a timeless Wall Hanging which I can reuse each year :)

Christmas Goodie or Gift Bags

Now I have always been in looooove with everything Tim Holtz!!! But this latest Movers and Shakers Die - In The Bag - is quickly becoming my absolute favourite !!
It helped create these Christmas goodie bags - perfect for holding candy canes, Christmas lollies and chocolates, small gifts for friends, teachers, etc.  AND they would make a great gift voucher holder - and we all give a few of those at Christmas time :)

Inchie Board

Just quick post as I did promise to put up my finished Inchie Board. I have made mine with 64 tiles but you can make them to whatever size you like. My tiles are 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch for the smaller tiles then 1 1/2 by 3 inches with some 3 inch by 3 inch tiles as well (these larger ones are counted as 4 tiles). Photos have been cut 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch and all have been matted onto chipboard measuring the same size then I arranged them onto a larger 12 x 12 piece of chipboard. It is entirely up to you how many photos you use. These little tiles are just so much fun, I love how you can make each individual little tile a piece of art, a special little mini keepsake and can put as much or as little detail as you like. I plan to make a few more!

My new DT kit arrived from Wild About Scrap this week and while I have only had a quick look it is jam packed with goodness and I can't wait to get playing with all the wonderful stuff, so please call back and remember we value and enjoy reading all your lovely comments.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Inchies

Veronica over at Wild About Scrap is very generous with the DT kits she sends out, we are very fortunate as after making projects there is still plenty left over for more :)

Ever wondered what to do with all your left over little bits and pieces that usual end up building on your work space? Inchies - yes tiny little tiles which measure 1.5in x 1.5in, 3in x1.5in even 3in x 3in then add them along with photos cut into the same dimensions altogether to form a patch. Mounting each piece onto chipboard then each patch onto a larger board. Once you've made a stack you can add them to make a canvas, wall board frame or whatever. They are heaps of fun and you can be as creative as you like, the possibilities are endless! Below are just a few little tiles I've made and I will back to share with you the end results in just a few days :)

For these little Inchies I used Echo Park 6x6 Paper Pad This & That, ribbon, embossing folders, twine, charms - basically all the little bits that gather on your desk for a particular project but don't go. With Inchies it doesn't matter as each little tile is a project on its own and when you put them together they create an awesome masterpiece!

Need to replenish your stash, then head over to Wild About Scrap store and stock up on your supplies and maybe try giving these little guys a go, I promise you they are so much fun you will become addicted :)

Don't forget to come back and visit to see the finished board. Have a great week! xx

Happy Day!

I had forgotten how much fun dies can be to play with! They can be the perfect addition to a card or layout and you can easily coordinate them to any theme. Below are two cards I made using both Spellbinder dies and die cuts which easily show with some foam dots you can add lots of dimension. Using papers & diecuts, part of the latest DT kit and Fancy Pants Time for Spring range, these papers are so bright and fun!

Sweet Happy Fun

Just popping in to share a layout I created using products from my last DT kit which included the fabulous Fancy Pants Time for Spring collection. The layout features photos of my precious little one when she was on a school excursion to the wonderful Swan Valley Animal Farm. I kept the layout fairly simple as I just adore these photos of my little girl being mobbed by all these loveable bunnies, I am postive she would have sat there the entire day feeding and playing with them lol.

Happy Haunting

Here is a quick and easy card I made using the wonderful Graphic45 Happy Haunting Collection I received in Septembers Kit from Wild About Scrap. Remember to pop on over and check out all the fabulous products available and grab yourself a bargain :)

Taking an image from the G45 paper Jolly Jack-O-Lantern and fussy cutting parts and adding to the image by over laying, inking and creating depth using pop dots. Finally double matting on G45 Word Play reverse and Bazzill with some distressing for a subtle grunge feel and a pretty Prima flower as a final touch. Hope you like it.

Please take a few minutes to follow and leave a comment, we really love it and it lets us know you were here :)

What spooky things do you have planned for Halloween?

Thanks for looking..

Stirring up lots of inspiration I wasn't sure which I wanted to play with first! With Halloween just around the corner I couldn't resist the Graphic45 Happy Haunting Collection. Using a printer tray from my stash, paint, prima vine, DA chipboard fence and the gorgeous Graphic45 chipboard tags and paper collection from the kit I had fun playing and decorating this tray :)

Family Memories book

Stil creating away with my fantastic DT kit for August . OTP this time and as I had some heritage photos printed recently I selected some for a family memories book.  The ranges in my Kit - Carta Bella, Beautiful Moments, Graphic 45- A Ladies Diary and Jenny Bowlin papers all definitely suited the photos of yesteryear.

The photos are mainly of my Paternal Grandmother, my dad and my mum.  It is a pity I dont know the exact dates of some of the photos, but it will be a treasured keepsake nonetheless!!

AUGUST CARD CHALLENGE - my card number 1

Loved the sketch for the August Challenge and created this card using that sketch whilst I was on a Scrap Retreat last weekend.  It is a folded card which opens in the middle, so the label is only attached to the right hand side of the card.
Now to get card 2 done !!!
Cant wait to see your creations

Stylish Layout - Graphic 45

It was a wet and windy day in Melbourne so that sent me off to the Scrap room to create.  The Graphic 45 range- A Ladies Diary is jsut perfect for Vintage pages. So with that in mind I hunted out this photo of my grandmother from the late 1940s
I think ladies of that era always looked so elegant in their hats and finery!

A card or two

It's been cold out and we all know that means great crafting weather inside by the warm fire staying dry and that's exactly what I decided to do. I was able catch up on some DT work and made not one but two cards! Cards really aren't my thing although I did enjoy making them for a change, using up some of my wonderful kit from this month and last month from Wild About Scrap and there is still tones left!

HOLIDAY JOURNAL

Here is my final project using the fantastic May DT Kit.  I have chosen to create a Holiday or Travel Journal using my Zutter machine.... had forgotten how easy this makes book making and how professional the results look !! It really only takes minutes to punch the holes and close up the binding and there you have your album .. done!

Mini Album

As part of my wonderful May DT kit for Wild About Scrap I received lots of great products including a Zutter 6x6 cover and Perfect closure and Tattered Angels mist which I used to make this mini album.

I used lots of Donna Salazar papers from my stash, I love these papers and they look great just left as is or ink them up and make them grungy, just so easy to work with. Lots and lots of Timmy products, glimmer Mists and Prima flowers and anything left laying on my work area managed to get used lol!

Heidi Swapp & Reminisce Cards

Had a great time this morning creating these 3 cards using the goodies in my May DT Kit.  I love putting LOs together , but nothing beats creating cards (my first love !!!)

These 3 cards - 2 birthday (1 for a boy, 1 for a girl) and a Bon Voyage card- were made primarily using Heidi Swapp No Limits and Reminisce Expedition Destination ranges.

May Challenge LO

Hey there Wild About Scrap followers... here is my just completed May Challenge LO  I have pretty much followed the sketch with a few tweaks here and there.   My Mum is the subject and Mum is in the title - my quote -' Mum thanks for being you' is my own (heh heh). I made the chipboard element on the left hand side - sanded and painted an old bright chip piece - stamped it and added the buttons etc.

Sure hope to see your creations posted ont he Face Book page before the end of May!!
