CUP CAKES

Hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas Day, enjoying it with family, friends and loved ones. Meant to post these before Christmas .. but in those last few mad days I clean forgot... so here I am .  From the amazing November/December DT kit Veronica sent to me, I have used Christmas themed papers by Carta Bella - Traditions - Italian Lace to make these cup cakes - they could have strings attached and be hung on the tree!!  I personally love them just as an OTP item to decorate my home !!
Other ideas for their use
- decorations for a garden tea party - on a cupcake stand
- name card holders for parties - birthday, xmas etc etc
- gifts for party guests , wedding guests, afternoon tea guests
The possibilities are endless really.

Other items I used form the DT kit included Prima - Velvet Rainbow Flowers- Vintage

They are pretty easy to make and require very few products and tools in addition to the two items mentioned above.
- foam balls
- flat paper flowers - could be hand punched
- circle or scallop circle punches
- rosette dies I used - Tim Holtz - Strip Die- Mini Paper Rosettes
- glue
- hot glue gun
- beaded trim

I cut out the rosette strips, from the Carta Bella Traditions Italian Lace Paper using a die machine - folded the rosette strips and then adhere the ends together. Next they were hot glued to a punched paper circle. A foam ball was glued inside the 'cup cake' base.  Next the flat paper flowers were cut in half and glued to the inside rim of the cup cakes. Then those cute little Prima Velvet flowers were glued to cover the foam ball of the smallest and middle sized cup cake.  For the large cup cake I added a row of roses before adding the Prima flowers.
Last of all I added the bead trim around the very bottom of the cupcake.

They could also be made using more traditional Christmas colours - such as those in the Fancy Pants Home For Christmas collection and as I have some of those papers left - might just whip one up !!

If you have any questions about these cupcakes , please ask away as I am on hols for a few weeks and will have plenty of time to be on Facebook, Blogs etc etc .. thank goodness! :)

Will be posting some more creations very soon as the DT Kit has lots more gorgeous goodies !!!
