Embossed card

Just a quick post from me to share an equally quick embossed card I made for my partner for our upcoming anniversary (hence the simple, classic design - can't be too "girly" for my man).

The card was made using the "Tim Holtz Texture Fades - Valentine Background & Borders"embossing folder set along with some "Core'dinations Cut & Emboss Gemstones" cardstock and it really was VERY easy! As this cardstock comes pre-cut in a stack that are the perfect size for use with embossing folders, it was simply a matter of choosing a sheet and popping it through my Big Shot - no measuring or cutting required!
After that, I lightly sanded the embossed areas to show through some of the darker core colour (which not only highlighted the words, but also provided a great contrast to the gorgeous pearlescent sheen on the rest of the card).
The heart embellishments were made by running another sheet of Gemstones cardstock through one of the border folders from the set and then handcutting and mounting them with foam tape. Next, it was the quick addition of some ribbon, mounting the card face onto some white cardstock and the job was done...EASY!!! (And who doesn't love quick & easy, right?)
Cheers, Sue P :-)
